Arise! Cry Out! Prayer Event Saturday 11/14 9a-1p

What would happen if thousands of Christian women gathered all over the globe on one day to fast and pray for their children and schools? We will find out on Sat., Nov. 14th from 9am-1pm. There is an event in every state in the US and 39 countries around the world.

We will be gathering in the Williams House at the Second Baptist Church in Katy (19449 Katy Frwy, 77094). This will be a DVD-driven event, presented by the founder of Moms In Touch International, Fern Nichols. The live event was taped on Oct. 9th in California.

This event is free and open to all moms - not just "Moms In Touch" parents. If possible, please register today at www.MomsInTouch.org, so that we can have an accurate head count. If you don't get around to registering, come anyway-even if you can't stay the whole time! James 5:16b

Creating a Chain Reaction at Seven Lakes High School

Something that exist to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion started on Monday, September 21, 2009 . It started with the Friends Of Rachel Club at Seven Lakes High School where a teenage student, John Pham,12, wanted to create a chain reaction and reach out to the community with this club that he and a few other club officers re-built within a few days. John Pham is a senior student at Seven Lakes High School who is the President of the Friends of Rachel Club. A club that will help create a permanent cultural change in schools, businesses, and especially the community. On Sunday, September 27, 2009 John had come to the idea to reach out to a student at Beck Junior High School who has been winning his fight against serious complications caused from the onset of the H1N1 virus at the Texas Children. As Billy is blinking his eyes, squeezing hands, nodding his head and fighting strongly the Seven Lakes High School Friends Of Rachel is fighting for Billy and started a school wide + community donation called "BUCKS FOR BILLY". This donation project was started by the thoughts of John Pham who wants to create a chain reaction and reach out to Billy. John nor does any of the club officers know who Billy Cary is. All they know is a great strong fighter. Something that doesnt matter,Friends of Rachel Vice President, Brandi Moreno,12 Speaks "It isn't about him having a spot at our school, it is about helping the community. Billy is someone who needs our help, not only us but everyone. the main thing we are trying to do is show that a little can go a long way, this isnt for publicity nor is it for attention at Seven Lakes. Not having Billy present at our school doesn't mean we should forget about people out there who need our help and support. Our club is to spread kindness and compassion at Seven Lakes and our community, we want to let the Katy community know its not only about helping the people that we know." During the week of October 5, 2009 thru October 9, 2009 the student body at Seven Lakes High School supports Billy by donating in their third period class. Not just one time during the school day, but also during ALL lunches everyday that week. Members of the Friends Of Rachel club give their time up to help support and collect donations for Billy Cary. "...even the smallest act of kindness can really make a difference in Billy Cary's life" says Reagan Collier, 11. At the end of the week of Oct 5- Oct 9, the Friends of Rachel Club and the Seven Lakes Community Raised apporxametly $1,500.41. "You can never take anything for granted. Anything. Because within a day, an hour, a minute, a second, everything that's anything could vanish." says Club Representative Lauren Miller, 11

"It feels good to see our spartan community helping those in need, it truly makes me proud of our school and what type of kids we have" says Club Treasurer Lindsey Zeigle, 11

"All the students joining together to collect money for Billy. Even if it was just a few coins, made me feel good that they were trying their hardest to make a difference in someones life" says Club Historian, Sergio Marini, 12
