Katy players stood shoulder pad to shoulder pad on the sidelines at Rhodes Stadium with seven seconds on the clock, each holding his breath while Cinco Ranch kicker Jacob Farmen lined up to kick a 37-yard field goal for the win.
Luckily for the Tigers, Farmen's kick went left of the goal posts. Katy players let out sighs of relief and escaped with a 21-20 win over rival Cinco Ranch on Saturday.
With the win, Katy (9-1, 5-0) reclaimed the District 17-5A title.
