Tuesday is Election Day, and depending on where they live, Katy area voters can help decide the fate of 11 amendments to the Texas Constitution, as well as various other local issues.

Constitutional amendments dealing with property tax valuations, public beach access, national research universities and other issues – 11 in all -- are on the ballot statewide.
Voters who live inside the Houston city limits also can vote their choice for mayor and council member from their district. District maps are available on the City of Houston website, www.houstontx.gov.
West Memorial Municipal Utility District will seek voter authorization to sell approximately $11.6 million in bonds for a new water well and other water and wastewater projects and repairs. This MUD serves residential and commercial customers south of I-10 between Coppersmith and Mason roads.
Seven Meadows and Cinco Ranch area voters who are served by Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 35 can vote separately on authorizing $2.5 million in bonds for district recreational facilities, plus new property taxes for maintenance and debt service.
Voting on the FBC MUD No. 35 propositions will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 5131 Big Meadow Lane in Katy.
