    Free immunizations planned

Katy’s Christus St. Catherine Hospital has joined forces with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, lead sponsor of the Care Van Program, to provide free immunizations to children between 2-18 years of age.

The Care Van will be providing immunizations on Monday, Aug. 16 from 4 – 7 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, located at 5356 11th Street in Katy.

Before a child can receive an immunization, a copy of his or her shot record and/or a letter from the school will need to be presented.
Christus St. Catherine Hospital will be providing nurses to help with the event, including providing parents with specific information when they arrive.

The Care Van Program is a child immunization program where volunteers drive mobile immunization units to provide access to the medically underserved. The program collaborates with local communities to provide free immunizations to Texas children.
