    ARTreach is driving the arts to Katy and hosting an honorary event for all the people who are helping to steer the way. ARTreach’s Heroes Among Us Event is Aug. 14.

    Living Arts blogger Terri Bieber shares a video on an ARTreach STEAM Project at Morton Ranch Junior High. STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, ART and Math to represent that fact that whole brain education includes the arts to incorporate a creative thinking process and higher learning.

    ARTreach is partnering with Katy ISD McRoberts Elementary students and teachers to create a 365 square foot mural that integrates the arts with 4th and 5th grade science curriculum. Called SM-ART, the ARTreach mural is about the Rainforest (rainforest/various animal adaption/biomes)and will become a teaching aid and learning tool for students.
