College Baseball: Will Handlin, Murray State

Will Handlin played in Murray State's 17-7 loss to Southeast Missouri State on Saturday. Handlin graduated from Mayde Creek High School in 2009.

Handlin is a 2008 graduate of Mayde Creek where he was a two-year letterwinner playing for coach Lynn Leonard. As a senior, 2007-2008, he batted .315 to earn second-team all-district honors. He was also honorable mention all-district as a sophomore, 2005-2006, after batting .300. Handlin also started on the gridiron earning honorable mention all-district honors for football when he threw for 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior to help lead Mayde Creek to the postseason for the first time since 1997. In the classroom, he was a member of the National Honor Society in addition to earning academic all-state and all-district recognition. Alex Reynolds went 0 for 4 with one RBI in West Point's 6-1 victory over Bucknell on Saturday. Reynolds is a 2009 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School.

Reynolds played at Cinco Ranch High School in 2005-2009, where she lettered all four years. She earned All-District honors as a sophomore and was garnished with the team's Hustle award as a junior. Reynolds was a four-time Academic All-District selection and played club ball with Texas Storm DeMarini Gold for coach Larry Durham. She is the daughter of Curtis and Patricia Reynolds. Read more...
