Raynor Oran Campbell went 0 for 4 and was walked once in the Augusta GreenJackets's 3-2 loss to the Savannah Sand Gnats on Friday. Campbell graduated from Katy Taylor High School.

Campbell is a 2006 graduate of Taylor High School who went on to play four seasons (2007 to 2010) of college baseball at Baylor. He played in 208 career games for the Bears posting a batting average of .305 with 24 homers and 127 RBIs. He was taken by San Francisco in the 14th round (438th overall) in the 2010 draft. He began his pro career that year with Salem-Kaizer of the Northwest League (short-season class-A) batting .261 with three home runs and 22 RBIs in 45 games. Pro Baseball: Jared Michael Gayhart, Erie SeaWolves

Jared Michael Gayhart pitched two innings, striking out one and allowing one earned run Friday in the Erie SeaWolves's 11-9 loss to the Akron Aeros. Gayhart graduated from Katy High School.

Gayhart is a 2005 graduate of Katy High School. He played one season (2006) of collegiate baseball at San Jacinto College before transferring to Rice. In two seasons (2007 and 2008) for the Owls Gayhart batted .322 with 10 home runs and 89 RBIs in 119 games at the plate while also going 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 10 career relief appearances on the mound. Gayhart was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 13th round (403rd overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. He was converted to a pitcher in the Tigers' organization making 99 appearances (95 of which were relief outings) during his first three professional seasons (2008 to 2010).
