The following hearings occurred in the Sugar Land Municipal Court on Sept. 30:

Antonio Deleon Alanis was arraigned and appeared in court at 3:04 p.m. The offense is listed as speeding by more than 10% above posted limit 82 mph in a 65 mph zone and allegedly occurred on Dec. 31. Alanis faced a $123.90 fine and other costs of $97.10.

The docket was closed when Alanis was found guilty.



Janine Marie Fisher was arraigned and appeared in court at 8:07 a.m. The offense is listed as speeding in a school zone 31 mph in a 20 mph zone and allegedly occurred on Dec. 31. Fisher faced a $113.90 fine and other costs of $122.10.

The docket was closed when Fisher was found guilty.



Djuan Martell Fitzgerald was arraigned and appeared in court at 2:31 p.m. The offense is listed as speeding by more than 10% above posted limit 71 mph in a 50 mph zone and allegedly occurred on Dec. 31. Fitzgerald faced a $163.90 fine and other costs of $97.10.

In a delinquent tax case filed on Sept. 30 at the 239th District Court in Brazoria County, Linda M. Sophus was named as the defendant.

Isd Alvin, Community College Dist Alvin, Brazoria County, Brazoria County Mud #2, Brazoria Co Drainage District # and Special Road & Bridge were named as the plaintiffs. Michael Darlow, of 1235 N. Loop West and #600, Houston, TX 77008, is listed as the plaintiffs' attorney.
