published Mar. 14, 2011
Krista Guild, of Katy, will be participating in the MD Anderson "Sprint for Life" on May 7 and encourages others to join her in raising funds for ovarian cancer research to find a cure.
Guild, the mother of three young children, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March 2009. She was diagnosed with cancer again in June 2010. This year will mark her third time of participating in the 5K fundraiser.
The 14th annual Sprint for Life 5K run/walk and "Sprint for Sprouts" kids' run, will be held Saturday, May 7, on the campus of MD Anderson Cancer Center. Sprint for Life has raised over $2.7 million for the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program at MD Anderson.
Guild has a personalized pledge page, where more of her story can be read and donations to support her cause can be pledged.
