Seven Lakes breaks into Top 20
published Apr. 8, 2011
The Seven Lakes girls softball team were ranked by the Texas Coaches Association new straw poll at 17th in the state of Texas.
The achievement marks the first time in the Spartans history to be ranked in the state’s Top 20. With a current district record of 5-2 and recent accomplished wins over Katy Taylor and Cinco Ranch, Seven Lakes is making their mark in what is considered an extremely competitive district full of talented teams and players.
“It is good to see the recognition for our program,†Spartans Head Coach Terry Kangas said. “We have accomplished a lot this year, and that is good for the girls and their hard work that they are putting in.â€
Seven Lakes will next defend their ranking when they take on Morton Ranch on Tuesday (April 12).
