Katy v. Beaumont game to be televised, live blogged
When the number two Katy Tigers take the field against Beaumont West Brook this Saturday, they will do so on live television.
Saturday's game will be televised by KFDM on the CW Channel, Channel 10, at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Carrol A. Butch Thomas Educational Support Center.
For those looking to follow the game via mobile device, Katy-West Brook will also be live blogged online by the sports team at the Beaumont Enterprise--
www.BeaumontEnterprise.com/Huddle is the address.
While the rest of the Katy district enjoys a bye week, the Tigers will have to be ready for battle. West Brook, who is coming off of their bye week, will be fully rested and prepared for the showdown.
This will be an important game to size up each team as they go into district play. The game is expected to be hotly contested, as both teams are in the top 10 of class 5A.
The Katy Tigers have made an appearance in the class 5A, Division II championship the previous two years, both seasons with a worse start than 2010. The Tigers have started strong this year with a 2-0 record, beating both North Shore and Alief Taylor in dominating fashion.
