Pin Oak Charity to auction equestrian paintings
The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show will host an Evening of Wine and Horses at the Texas Children’s Hospital Arena Club at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy on Thursday Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tickets will be $50 per person.
The evening will feature “A Musical Equine Extravaganza,” an exhibition showcasing the horses of Pin Oak created especially for this event by Susan Pelletier.
Hunter, Jumpers, American Saddlebreds, Andalusians and Welsh Ponies will be featured.
The evening’s festivities include a silent auction and a lottery raffle of items that have been donated by several local businesses, wineries and others.
The lottery raffle features an equine painting by Lesley C. Humphrey, the official artist of the 2011 Kentucky Derby. Humphrey has agreed to create a special painting for The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, and raffle tickets to win the painting will be available at the event. Only 100 tickets will be sold, and tickets will be priced from $1 to $100, based off the luck of the draw.
“Derby Spirit,” one of the paintings commissioned by Churchill Downs, will be on view at the event.
Net proceeds from both the silent auction and the lottery raffle have been donated to the Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus.
