HS boys basketball preview: Mayde Creek v. Cypress Falls
Mayde Creek hosts Cypress Falls in boys high school basketball action on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles are 2-0 on the season, beating Humble Summer Creek 52-32 on Friday.
Kerry Kang, a 5-foot, 10-inch senior, leads Cy-Falls in scoring at 21 points per game. Matt Slade, a 6-foot, 3-inch senior, goes for 18 points per game and Mitchell Badillo, a 5-foot, 9-inch junior guard, adds 14 points per game for the Golden Eagles.
Katy Mayde Creek is 4-2 on the year after losing 72-70 to Pasadena South Houston on Friday at the McDonalds Invitational.
Dominique Taylor leads Mayde Creek in scoring at 27 points per game. Dominique Thomas, a 6-foot, 1-inch senior guard, scores 17 points per game and Eric Stubbs, a 6-foot, 3-inch junior guard, adds 14.4 points per game for his squad.
Tuesday's tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
