HS boys basketball preview: Seven Lakes v. Austin
Seven Lakes visits Austin in boys basketball action on Tuesday.
Seven Lakes is 8-1 after beating Mayde Creek 85-49 on Saturday.
The team is led by Atif Russell, who scores 18.4 points per game.
Seven Lakes Head Coach Dan Miller said, "Taking care of the ball is priority No. 1 for us on offense. We have won eight in a row, and when we don’t turn it over we feel pretty good about our offense."
"Containing Ryan Manuel is the key for his defense," he continued. "Manuel is one of the best scorers in the city, and we need to play a great defensive game to prevent him from lighting us up."
Manuel, a 6-foot, 4-inch senior guard, paces Austin in scoring at 25.7 points per game.
Austin is 6-2 on the season after losing 67-53 to Morton Ranch on Saturday.
Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
