Katy ISD receives scholarship funding from masonry contractors

The Katy Independent School District recently received a $2,500 scholarship from the Associated Masonry Contractors of Houston (AMCH) as part of its "Building Our Future" scholarship program.

The scholarships will be awarded to graduating Katy students at the discretion of the district.

AMCH provides scholarships for Houston-area students. The program emphasizes the beauty, safety, strength and value masonry construction can bring to Houston-area schools. It has provided $37,500 in scholarships for 2010.

The AMCH comprises more than 50 companies related to the masonry industry.
