HS boys basketball: Redskins nip Mustangs
Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated defeated Katy Taylor in boys high school basketball on Tuesday.
The Redskins won 44-42, moving to 4-9 on the season and 0-1 in district play. Frank Iriele and Darius Bradford each had 13 points in the victory.
The Redskins will host Fort Bend Austin on Friday at 1 p.m. They will return to District 23-4A action against Rosenberg Terry on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Tuesday’s loss dropped the Mustangs to 8-10 on the year and 1-0 in district play. John Starks, a junior guard, had a game-high 15 points in the defeat.
Taylor will jump back into District 19-5A play against Houston Memorial on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
