Improved liquid-gas separation method earns patent for Katy man and Shell team
A Katy man is part of a team that has received a U.S. patent for an improved method of separating liquid and gas components in a type of furnace used by the petrochemical industry.
The inventors named in the patent are Arthur James Baumgartner, Katy; Louis Edward Stein, Houston; Danny Yuk Kwan Ngan, Houston; Karl Gregory Anderson, Missouri City; Raul Jasso Garcia Jr., Houston; and Richard Rodriguez, Houston. The patent is owned by Shell Oil Co.
The official patent number for the new invention is 7,862,651. It was originally filed on Dec. 10, 2007.
