HS girls basketball preview: Morton Ranch v. Cinco Ranch
District 19-5A rivals Morton Ranch and Cinco Ranch take to the court in girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.
Morton Ranch is 7-14 on the season and 0-4 in district play. The Mavericks are coming off a 39-27 loss to Nimitz on Friday.
Junior Lyanne Colon is averaging 11.7 points a game to lead her team in scoring.
The Mavericks will next host Mayde Creek on Friday at 7 p.m.
Cinco Ranch is 15-12 on the season and 2-2 in district play. The Cougars are coming off a 47-32 loss to Taylor on Friday.
Junior Megan Palmer is leading the team in scoring with an average of 15 points per game.
The Cougars will next visit Katy on Friday at 7 p.m.
Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
