Katy Library announces schedule of weekly, monthly events
A local public library has announced its February events.
The Katy Library has scheduled the following events, sponsored by the Friends of the Katy Library, for February.
Club Hispano de Libros, a book club comprised of Spanish-speaking adults, is scheduled to meet Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m.
Who Dun It? @ the Library, a Mystery Group meeting, will discuss The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith, on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m.
Superación Personal, a motivational program conducted in Spanish, will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m.
Family Night/Noche de Familia, a program consisting of games, crafts, music and stories, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m.
Water Gardening Basics will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m.
African American Heritage Month Movie Day is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19, from noon to 4 p.m.
The Hispanic Writers Group, aimed at those interested in writing stories and poetry in Spanish, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m.
Club de Oratoria/Speaker’s Club, an event for those interesting in honing their communication skills, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m.
In addition to these special events, the Katy Library offers weekly programs, including computer classes, story times and knitting.
These programs are free and open to the public at the Katy Library, located at 5414 Franz Road.
