Marijuana odor leads to Katy driver's arrest
The odor of burnt marijuana during a routine traffic stop landed a 25-year-old Katy man in jail.
Katy police say officers smelled the marijuana after pulling over a driver in the 500 block of Pin Oak Road around 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 8.
During a subsequent search, they found a plastic baggie and other items with drug residue, police say.
The suspect was arrested on a charge of drug paraphernalia possession and taken to the Katy Police Department.
