KRIV: Driver killed in Katy crash
A man was killed in a crash in the Katy area early Wednesday, Houston Fox
affiliate KRIV reports.
Guillermo Carillo was driving a blue 1997 Honda Prelude on Westheimer
Parkway around 12 a.m. Wednesday when deputies say he lost control of the
car and drove onto a grassy median near South Fry Road. The Prelude crashed
into a tree on the driver's side of the car and caused the vehicle to break
into two sections.
Carillo, who had not worn a seat belt, was thrown from the Prelude and later
pronounced dead at the accident site. A male in the passenger seat was also
thrown from the car and taken to a hospital.
