Cinco Ranch grad K.C. Nlemchi commits to SMU
A Cinco Ranch high school senior has agreed to play for SMU in the fall.
At 6 feet, 215 pounds, K.C. Nlemchi was rated by rivals.com as the 36th best running back in the country.
In his senior season, Nlemchi led his team with 1,298 rushing yards on 203 carries. He scored 19 touchdowns on the ground and added another two receiving touchdowns.
The Katy native is expected to play tailback for the Mustangs.
Although he had early offers from Arkansas and Tulsa, Nlemchi’s visit to the SMU campus the weekend before the signing period began made him realize that is where he wanted to play.
