HS girls soccer: Cinco Ranch defeats Memorial
Cinco Ranch defeated Memorial 2-1 in District 19-5A high school girls soccer action on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first half, all three goals were scored in the second, with Cinco Ranch coming out on top.
The win ups Cinco Ranch to 4-2-2 on the season and 1-0-2 in district play. Lauren Piritz and Hayley Tiernay both registered a goal for the winning team.
Cinco Ranch will next host Katy on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The loss drops Memorial to 9-3-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in district play. Cailey Cotner had the lone goal for Memorial.
Memorial will next visit Taylor on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
