Katy gas prices slightly lower than Houston average
Good news, Katy -- gas prices here are on average a little lower than those for the region, the state and the nation, according to data from gasbuddy.com.
As of March 4, the average price of gas in the city is $3.33, analysis of local prices from the site shows. That's somewhat lower than a typical price for the Houston area ($3.34), Texas ($3.37) and the United States ($3.46).
The cheapest price for gas in Katy was listed as $3.25. One of several locations where that price is available is the Chevron station at 21751 Clay Road.
The highest price in the city is being charged by the Shell station at 23255 Kingsland Boulevard, gasbuddy.com's data show. Gas costs $3.55 there.
