Crime Stoppers seeks man in Katy gas-station robbery
Investigators are asking the public's help identifying a man who robbed a
Katy-area gas station at gunpoint on April 2.
At about 10 p.m. that night, the suspect entered the gas station's store, in
the 6300 block of Barker Cypress Road. He pulled out a pistol from his
waistband and demanded that the 21-year-old employee behind the counter give
him cash.
The victim gave the suspect an unspecified amount of cash, and the suspect
fled on foot, investigators say.
The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-10 to
6-foot-1, 190 to 210 pounds, bald, and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and
tan pants.
Anyone with information on the robbery can reach Crime Stoppers at
713-222-8477 or at crime-stoppers.org. Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up
to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest, charging, or identification
of the suspect.
