Katy HS grad Holly Holl keeps on rolling for No. 17 Baylor
No. 17 Baylor defeated Iowa State, 10-1, in college softball action on Sunday and Katy High School graduate Holly Holl added two more hits to her impressive total of 36. Holl went 2-for-4 in the win and is among the team leaders in several categories.
Holl is second on the Bears with a .350 batting average. The freshman catcher is fifth on the team with 36 hits, first with eight doubles, and second with 17 RBIs.
Holl played at Katy High School in 2006-2010, where she was named to the Houston Chronicle's 2009 All-Greater Houston Area first-team. She was also a three-time first-team All-District selection (2007, 2008, 2009). In 2008 she was named to the first-team All-District 18-5A, while also helping her team to a record of 35-9 and the 5A state title game. Holl was named to the Houston Chronicle's All-Greater Houston Area first-team and third-team, TXSWA and the 2009 Collin Street Bakery 5A third-team All-State. Holl played club ball for the Texas Magic Gold under Coach Tommy Howe. She is the daughter of Mark and Nylene Holl.
