Fire department continues annual fundraiser, but with a new menu
Fire department continues annual fundraiser After 28 years of serving fajita dinners once a year as a fundraiser, the Katy Fire and EMS Association has made a big change: no more fajitas. The association, made up of firefighters and emergency medical personnel at the Katy Fire Department, will serve dinner with mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and homemade breads and desserts on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Katy VFW Hall, 6202 George Bush Drive in Katy. Meal tickets are available in advance at the fire station, 1417 Ave. D, or from firefighters. First prize in the raffle is a 55-inch 3D LED television, second prize is a $500 Visa gift card and third prize is a $250 spa package.
