'Yogathon' events to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS programs
Bering Omega Community Services is organizing a Yogathon fundraising effort in honor of World AIDS Day in December.
During October, November and up until Saturday, Dec. 10, studios will be donating the proceeds from specific classes while others will be promoting special offers when people make donations to Bering Omega Community Services for the Yogathon.
Participating studios are Ahimsa Yoga, Bikram Hot Yoga Houston, Cherry Blossom Yoga, Dahn Yoga, Houston Yoga & Ayurvedic Wellness Center, The Houston City Club and Yoga One Studios.
All the proceeds from the fundraising efforts will benefit Bering Omega’s health care programs and social services for families and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS in Houston.
For more information about the Yogathon studios, where they’re located and how they are participating, visit www.beringomega.org.
Studios that wish to participate can contact Stephenie Schillaci at 713-341-3763 or SSchillaci@beringomega.org.
