Katy Lutheran Church to present 'There Is a Rose' cantata
The Choir of Living Word Lutheran Church will present the cantata “There Is a Rose” on Sunday, Dec. 11.
“There Is a Rose” features many well-known Christmas carols such as “Away in a Manger,” “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing” and “Silent Night,” as well as newly composed music.
A chamber orchestra will accompany the choir for the presentation of the cantata composed by Robert Sterling and John Parker.
The cantata will be performed during worship services at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., and the Living Word Lutheran Church is located at 3700 S. Mason Road in Katy. Cookies, coffee and juice will be served after each service.
