Cypress resident, Katy auto shop accused of botching oil changes
A debris removal company is suing a Katy auto repair shop and its operators over claims it improperly performed oil changes on 29 of its vehicles.
PCM Construction Services filed a lawsuit on Dec. 2 in Harris County District Court against Christian Franco-Guerrero, Arturo Ivan Pastor, of Cypress, and Katy-area Auto Tech Repairs & Body Shop, citing breach of contract and negligence, among other things.
PCM Construction says on Sept. 9, the defendants agreed to perform oil changes on 29 of its heavy duty trucks, but filled each one with at least one extra gallon of oil. According to the brief, the excess oil damaged the exhaust systems and engines of at least one of PCM’s vehicles.
PCM is seeking damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by San Antonio attorney Todd Prins.
