Katy woman sues Memorial Kroger over injuries
A Katy woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries because the Memorial-area Kroger failed to maintain a safe shopping environment.
Katy resident Melanie Martin filed a lawsuit on Dec. 9 in Harris County District Court against The Kroger Co., citing negligence.
Martin says she sustained injuries while shopping at Kroger, located at 12555 Briar Forest Drive in Memorial. According to the brief, the injuries occurred when she stepped into a deep hole in the landscaped section of the store parking lot.
Martin is seeking actual and exemplary damages, as well as court costs. She is being represented in the case by Liberty attorney Mark Beausoleil.
