Katy residents blamed for alleged garage sale injuries
A Harris County couple is suing over claims that unsafe conditions at a Katy-area garage sale resulted in a broken ankle and a broken leg.
Mary and Charles Brennan filed a lawsuit on Dec. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Katy residents Herminio Artuz, Aida Artuz, Darrell Nichols and Candace Nichols, citing negligence.
The Brennans say on Oct. 29, Mary broke her left leg and right ankle, while leaving the defendants' North Bear Creek Drive garage sale. According to the brief, Mary fell in the driveway, as a result of buckled concrete.
The Brennans are seeking damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Steve Couch.
