Gas prices in and around Katy this week were lower compared to the averages for Texas, Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from Gasbuddy.com.
Visitors to the Gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 57 gas stations in and around Katy. As of Jan. 26, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Katy is $3.246 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.252, Houston average at $3.264 and the nationwide average at $3.359.
The average gas price in Katy last week was $3.225 per gallon.
The least expensive gas price in Katy is reported to be $3.18 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which Gasbuddy.com contributors logged as being available at Food Mart, 1996 N. Fry Road and Younglake Boulevard. and Kroger, 6055 Fry Road and W. Little York Road.
Gasbuddy.com users reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.39, which was being sold at Shell, 23255 Kingsland Blvd. and South Grand Parkway, and Chevron, 23307 Cinco Ranch Blvd. and Grand Parkway.
