The following arrests were reported by local authorities for the period of Jan. 26 to Jan. 28:

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on charges of driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility (insurance), two counts of driving without a Texas operator's license, speeding in a school zone, driving with an invalid license, failure to produce a driver's license on demand, speeding and failure to maintain financial responsibility (no insurance), the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 25-year-old white male lives in St. William Lane in Houston.

A man was arrested on charges of driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility (insurance) and failure to stop at the designated point on Jan. 26, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 24-year-old black male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 26 and is facing misdemeanor charges. He resides in Yelverton Glen.

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on a misdemeanor charge of failure to attend school, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 19-year-old white male lives in Fort Stockton in Katy.

A Houston woman is facing misdemeanor and felony charges of theft ($1,500 to $20,000) by check, $500 and ($50 to $500) after being arrested on Jan. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The woman, 59 years old, resides in Aztec Wood Drive. She was booked on Jan. 27.

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on charges of three counts of possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance (less than 1 gram), two counts of failure to maintain financial responsibility (no insurance), driving without or with an expired inspection sticker and two counts of driving with expired registration, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 21-year-old white male lives in Abby Aldrich Lane in Katy.

A man was arrested on a charge of possession of a penalty group 3 controlled substance (less than 28 grams) on Jan. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 41-year-old white male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 28 and is facing a misdemeanor charge. He resides in Windy Nook.

A Katy woman was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana (0 to 2 grams) and driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility (insurance) on Jan. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The woman, 25 years old, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 28 and is facing misdemeanor charges. She resides in Townhall Court.

A Katy man was arrested and charged with driving with an invalid license, failure to produce a driver's license on demand, two counts of failure to maintain financial responsibility (no insurance) and driving with expired registration on Jan. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 29 years old, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 28 and is facing misdemeanor charges. He resides in Village Arbour.
