Katy 99 Cents Only store sued over workplace accident
A Houston man is suing after, he says, he sustained serious injuries while operating a forklift in Katy-area warehouse.
Troy Bryant filed a lawsuit on Jan. 30 in Harris County District Court against 99 Cents Only Stores of Texas, citing negligence.
Bryant says on Feb. 8, 2010, he sustained injuries while on the job at the defendant’s warehouse in Katy. According to the brief, the power was cut off as he was operating a fork lift, causing him to lose control and crash into a steel rail.
The suit alleges Bryant underwent multiple surgeries as a result of the accident.
Bryant is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Adam Criaco.
