Fitter and Faster Tour holds swim clinic at Katy Aquatics
The Fitter and Faster Swim Tour visited Katy Aquatics Jan. 28-29, where swimmers participated in a swimming workshop with Olympians Mel Stewart and Kara Lynn Joyce.
Stewart is a three-time Olympic medalist and a 14-time national champion. Joyce is an American record-holder and four-time Olympic Silver Medalist. In 2006, she became the first swimmer in the 25-year history of the Women's NCAA Championship Meet to win the 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle events.
The clinic was held over a two-day period, where members of the Katy Aquatics Competitive Team were able to do drills with each Olympian swimmer, hear motivational talks, and pose for photos with them and their medals.
