Katy ISD coaches students in life skills
Katy Students Run, a mentoring program for high school students, is working with the Katy Independent School District to partner students in coaching life skills.
KSR uses long-distance running as a mechanism for teaching skills such as goal setting, accountability and respecting others and the environment. Because of the mileage-building process in long-distance running, students learn to work with a schedule and gain confidence in the process.
