Crime Stoppers of Houston offers reward for information concerning hit-and-run

A reward is being offered in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed a 78-year-old woman Feb. 2 in the 400 block of South Mason Road.

Irene Bourgeois was pronounced dead at the scene after a truck struck and killed her as she attempted to cross the street at approximately 6:30 p.m. in west Harris County, according to a Crime Stoppers of Houston news release.

Investigators speculate the unknown suspect, who failed to render aid after the accident,  drove a dark colored truck, possibly a green Ford F-150.

A witness told police the truck had old damage on the rear and a "BROWNING" sticker on the back window, according to the release.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-8477 or www.crime-stoppers.org.
