Designer Newell Cheatheam to speak to Rotary Club
The Rotary Club will feature Newell Cheatheam, international building designer and president of Newell’s Designs of Katy, at 7 a.m. Thursday Feb. 23 at the Cinco Ranch Golf Club, 23030 Cinco Ranch Blvd. in Katy.
Cheatheam has been a resident of Katy for 34 years and has designed more than 3,000 custom homes and commercial buildings in many West Houston and Katy subdivisions and across Texas, according to a press release.
In 2008, he designed concrete domes for the Children’s Center for Life Quest Ministries in Mongolia.
According to a press release, Cheatham has won numerous state and national design awards. He will be speaking on the building and home markets and sharing some of the projects he has designed.
