Bistro Provence to host olive oil dinner
French restaurant Bistro Provence, 13616 Memorial Drive, is hosting an olive oil-themed, four-course dinner at 7 p.m. March 6.
Four imported olive oils from Provence, France, will be the feature of the evening, and guests will get a chance to sample each of the oils before the dinner begins. Houston's largest importer and promoter of wine, Amine Matta, will explain and introduce the oils to guests.
Each course during the meal will feature one of the oils as an ingredient, including the dessert, which will be virgin olive oil ice cream with raspberry pound cake.
The cost for the event is $56 plus tax and gratuity. A credit card is required to secure reservations, and there will be a $25 charge for cancelations without 48 hours of the event.
For reservations call 713-827-8008 or email bistro_provence@sbcglobal.net.
