Katy businesses blamed for lacerated scalp in Montrose
Katy businesses are being sued over claims a defective door at their Montrose location sliced open a customer’s scalp.
Donald Douglas filed a lawsuit on March 5 in Harris County District Court against Lupe Tortilla and Katy businesses Tres Habaneros and RDM Inc., citing negligence.
Douglas says on March 30, 2010, he sustained injuries, including lacerations to his scalp, while dining at Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant, located at 2414 Southwest Freeway in Montrose. According to the brief, he accidently struck his head on a low-hanging door that had a sharp and jagged edge.
Douglas is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Kelly Cook.
