Junior Forum features Bush sisters at luncheon
The Houston Junior Forum celebrated 66 years of service at its 2012 benefit luncheon on Feb. 10.
The fundraiser, held at the Houstonian Hotel Club & Spa, featured a presentation by Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Bush Hager called “Conversations from the Heart.” KPRC-TV news anchor Dominique Sachse also conducted an interview with the Bush sisters.
The luncheon was chaired by Judy Perkins and Paula Howeth. Approximately 500 guests were in attendance, including President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.
The luncheon's honorees were Kay and Bob Newman. Kay Newman has been a member of the Houston Junior Forum for 40 years. The couple remains active in educational advocacy.
