Landlord sued over Cinco Ranch commercial property

A landlord is being sued over claims its failure to repair a tenant’s leaking roof has delayed the opening of a Cinco Ranch urgent care facility.

Excel Urgent Care filed a lawsuit on March 16 in Harris County District Court against George Joseph Assets, Ackel Real Estate and Adam Ackel, citing breach of contract.

Excel Urgent Care says the defendants refuse to fix the leaking roof on the leased property, located at 19450 Katy Freeway in Cinco Ranch, which delays the construction needed for the tenant to open its practice.

The tenant is seeking attorney’s fees, court costs and damages. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Cleve Glen.
