Regency Centers announces Southpark at Cinco Ranch development
Regency Centers recently started construction on the first phase of the 260,000-square-foot Southpark at Cinco Ranch shopping center, located at the intersection of Westpark Tollway, FM 1093, and Spring Green Boulevard, FM 723.
The shopping center will be anchored by a 101,497-square-foot Kroger grocery store and fuel center, which is scheduled to open in late 2012. The grocery store and fuel center is expected to create nearly 300 new jobs. A 71,680-square-foot sporting goods store, seven outparcels and 29,920 square feet of small shops will also be completed during the first phase of construction. Regency Center plans to add an additional 57,000 square feet during the second phase of construction.
In a statement released by Regency Centers, senior manager of investments, Abe Pacetti, said, “We couldn’t be more pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Southpark at Cinco Ranch. The shopping center will benefit from limited retail competition and the area’s affluent population, which is growing three times faster than the surrounding market.”
Regency Centers is a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored community shopping centers. To lease space in phase one or two of the Southpark at Cinco Ranch shopping center, contact Ben Brown at 713-599-3517.
