Seven Lakes students win scholarship
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation officials announced the winners of approximately 800 outstanding black American high school seniors who have won Achievement Scholarship Awards through the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
These awards, totaling more than $2 million, are being financed by grants from 29 corporate organizations and professional associations.
Katy Independent School District winners were Seven Lakes High School students Toluwani Alimi and Olamide Omidele.
Toluwani plans to major in chemical engineering, and Olamide plans to attend Columbia University and enter the medical field.
