A Positive Behavior Intervention workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This workshop will help families understand the reason for behavioral assessments and positive interventions with a focus on behaviors that service a specific purpose for a student. Positive interventions vs. punishment to change behavior will be discussed.

A Texas Autism Supplement course will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will cover the 11 strategies to be considered for educational programming for students with autism. Participants will be given tools and tables for the individualized development of the strategies.

The workshops will be presented by Regional Coordinator for Partners Resource Network TEAM Project Brenda Nelson.
