Former Tiger helps Texas State to baseball victory
Andrew Stumph, a 2009 graduate of Katy High School, went 1-2 and plated one to help Texas State to a 7-5 win over Nicholls in men’s college baseball action Sunday.
At Katy, Stumph was a four-year letter winner and three-time All-State honoree playing for coach Tom McPherson. During his senior year, he earned District MVP honors and was an All-American honorable mention selection for the second time.
He is the son of Joe Stumph and Janet Morrow and is majoring in exercise and sports science at Texas State.
