Westlake VFD to Fill the Boot
The Westlake Volunteer Fire Department will take on neuromuscular diseases in their Fill the Boot event on Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Proceeds from the Fill the Boot event will benefit research and local services for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Houston and the Gulf Coast. The Westlake Volunteer Fire Department hopes to reach its goal of $5,000 with the help of the Houston and Katy communities.
In addition to life-saving programs and services, proceeds will give children with neuromuscular diseases ages 6 through 17 the opportunity to spend a week at MDA summer camp. Children will be able participate in fun activities in an environment tailored to their needs.
Fill the Boot will take place at the intersection of Fry Road and Katy Freeway and Mason Road in Katy.
