Mayde Creek alum pitches in in Murray State loss
Will Handlin, a 2008 graduate of Mayde Creek High School, threw three scoreless innings to help Murray State to a 7-2 victory over Southeast Missouri State University in men's college baseball action on Saturday.
In high school, Handlin was a two-year letter-winner playing for coach Lynn Leonard. During his senior year, he batted .315 to earn second-team all-district honors and was an honorable mention all-district as a sophomore after batting .300.
He is the son of Bill and Donna Handlin, and is majoring in secondary education at Murray State.
