Katy alum contributes in Texas State win
Andrew Stumph, a 2009 graduate of Katy High School, scored once and plated one to help Texas State to a 12-8 victory over Northwestern State in college baseball action Saturday, May 19.
In high school, Stumph was a four-year letter winner and three-time All-State honoree playing for coach Tom McPherson. In his senior year, Stumph earned District MVP honors and was an All-American honorable mention selection for the second year in-a-row.
He also earned first-team All-District honors in his junior and sophomore years.
Stumph is the son of Joe Stumph and Janet Morrow and is majoring in exercise and sports science.
